Objectives:

- To enhance the capabilities of the human resources in the countries to promote the sustainable development of agriculture and the rural milieu.

- To support training programs for entrepreneurs and the technical personnel of public and private institutions in order to increase the productivity and competitiveness of agriculture and contribute to food security.

- To promote the strengthening of distance education and training systems by digital means, in order to promote the development of science and technology that can lead to greater prosperity in rural communities.

- To promote and facilitate dialogue on and the integration of higher and vocational agricultural education in the Americas.

- To support the efforts of the Member States to prepare the human capital required to make agricultural development sustainable and improve rural life, through training, the modernization of educational programs, and dialogue on agricultural and rural education in the Americas and the integration of same.
