IICA reports on its activities in each country of the hemisphere

This year, as is customary, the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) has held a series of “accountability seminars” with the main actors in agriculture and rural life of 34 countries in the Americas.

Senior government officials and representatives of academia, the agricultural and rural world, international organizations and civil society have listened to, and taken part in, an analysis of the technical cooperation that IICA provides in its Member States.

The country had one of the biggest increases in the agricultural terms of trade between 2006 and 2008, with the growth in the value of its agricultural imports far outstripping the growth in the value of its agricultural exports (when this happens, it means there was a substantial increase in imports and/or a fall in exports).
